Restaurant Style Salsa

Chips and salsa make not only for a quick and easy side, but also healthy and delicious!


There is not a week that does not go by that I do not make salsa. We love it at our house! This recipe is actually a copycat version of Chili’s salsa, but I use fresher ingredients so it is not quite the same. Actually, it is even better! I have tried so many blender type salsas and this one is perfect for us. It has spice to it but not too much for a little one and it honestly does taste like what you would get at a restaurant. If you have a Mexican type dinner planned this week you need to try this salsa and it might just become your go-to recipe!


Restaurant Style Salsa


2 cans of diced tomatoes, drained

1to 2 jalapenos,  diced, and seeded(depending on size )

1 yellow onion, quartered

2 tablespoons chopped cilantro

1 teaspoon garlic salt

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon sugar

2 teaspoons fresh lime juice


  1. Place all the ingredients in a food processor or blender and puree until smooth.
  2. Serve with tortilla chips.
