Spring and Easter Favorites

Today I just want to share with you some recipes I have already posted that are perfect for Spring! Some of these recipes you must try for your Easter dinner. I am sure it will make your family meal extra special.

  1. Cheesy Broccoli Rice Casserole

This recipe I make quite often because it is a family favorite. It takes a little extra work, but you will feel happy that you fed your family with wholesome ingredients! It is one of the first recipes I posted ( as you can tell by the picture) so I feel it needs to be mentioned again because the recipe is great! It is perfect for spring when broccoli is in season and on sale. This is one side I will definitely be making for Easter.

2. Home Baked Chicken with Potatoes and Spinach

This chicken dinner is my favorite! It all cooks in one pan and is delicious. If your family does not like ham consider this being your main dish for Easter dinner. It makes a great Spring dinner for a busy weeknight too!

3. Honey Strawberry Jam

If you are looking for a recipe that uses honey instead of sugar for your homemade jam this is it. I recently just canned a whole bunch of strawberries this way. It is delicious slathered on a warm cream scone. By the way, strawberry jam is a great way to start if you are new to canning.

4.  Simple Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

This carrot cake will not disappoint. It truly is the best ever! Make this for Easter or just anytime soon. You will want to make it again and again! I definitely will and do! It does not use real sweeteners but plain sugar and is worth the splurge.

5. Rollup Blender Pancakes

These rollup pancakes are whole wheat and perfect for spring when you pile sweet berries on top. With little ones who love pancakes I make these again and again!

6. Crispy Cocoa Date Bites

These make a sweet and healthy snack for little hands and momma’s too! You can make these year around but they are perfect for Spring picnics!
